Tony DeBenedetto was born in 1970 at the Ft. Walters Army Base in Parker County, TX.  He spent his youth in the Dallas-Ft. Tony has always had a love for theater and film that started when he was a young boy watching movies with his father.  The first time he saw Star Wars on the big screen, he was hooked.  He knew that he wanted to one day be involved with the film industry.  He attended local comic conventions and received his break in 2006 when he worked the Star Wars Celebration IV in Los Angeles, CA.  That is when Tony started working special events with Lucas Film.  Tony has worked with Lucas Film on many domestic events, such as San Diego Comic Con as well as multiple Star Wars Celebration events, and internationally in Japan, Germany, and London.

Tony launched his producing career in 2011 with the multi-award winning full feature independent film, Jacob, directed by Larry Wade Carrell, which went on to win 19 awards at various film festivals and received distribution in the United States via Blockbuster, Redbox, and Amazon as well as retail distribution through Wal- Mart.  Jacob is also in distribution in Germany and the United Kingdom.  In March of 2014, Tony established his own production company, Javelina 98 Productions, Inc.  He partnered with Scott W. Perry of Slick Devil Entertainment as an Executive Producer on two projects in 2014 – the short film, Once, When I was Dead and Web Series, In Fear Of which was awarded the 2014 Best Web Series by the Macabre Faire Film Festival in New York.  Later the same year, Tony was an Executive Producer for the In Fear Of Television Pilot, In Fear Of Clowns (The Red Balloon).  Each of those projects have won multiple awards at various film festivals throughout the United States.  Tony has also collaborated as an Executive Producer with Blanc-Biehn Productions (Michael Biehn) out of Los Angeles, CA on multiple projects over the past several years.  Some of the projects included are Treachery, She Rises, Deadly Signal (formerly known as Psychophonia), Cabaret of the Dead (formerly known as Fetish Factory), Hidden in the Woods, Good Family Times, and most recently, The Lincoln.  Tony is also the Executive producer for Hell of a Night, directed by Brian Childs.

Tony is a firm believer in giving back to the community.  He has teamed up with TwitchTwitch Productions on multiple occasions to help promote Breast Cancer awareness.  The film It Happened Again Last Night, directed by Gabrielle Stone and Roze Roze, was produced to bring awareness for Domestic Violence and LGBTQ victims.  In 2018, he Executive Produced the film, The Blood is the Life, working with Director Jennifer Valdes to encourage blood donations.

Operating out of the Houston area, Tony is making it his mission to “Bring you the galaxy, one star at a time.”
